  1. I'm excited about using My Digital Portfolio along with Google Classroom. It's a monthly prompt that students will respond to. tinaknight@ccs.k12.nc.us

    1. Hi Tina! I started playing with Google Classroom last year with my students and really like it. Hoping to use it more this year too.

  2. I follow you with Bloglovin. I intend to use technology to connect my students to the world beyond the classroom this year, but slowly and accompanied by digital citizenship lessons. I also use technology to build rapport and communicate with parents. I also plan to be responsive and am thinking of asking parents and students how they prefer we set things up in terms of a classroom or learning management system. Wish me luck!

  3. Thank you for a chance to win a great gift certificate, just in time for the big bonus day sale on TpT!!!

I plan on using technology in lots of ways this year. We FINALLY have a cart of laptops for our 5/6th graders use...YAY! I will be having them do a Word Cloud book report for one of their summer reading assignments, starting the first day of school (jumping right in). We will be learning how to answer questions more meaningfully via Padlet, an online bulletin board style website. I will be continuing to use Plickers with them and introducing them to Quizizz this year. My sixth graders will be creating their own webpage Science report via Posters 4 Teachers. I also teach 7th graders who are given a school laptop to use in all of their classes. With them I utilize Google Drive, assigning MOST of their work digitally. With them we are ALMOST completely paperless.

    Fingers crossed! Holding my breath!
