Introducing I Have Who Has Webapps to Engage with Students in Virtual Classrooms

In my classroom,  

games were always a favorite. I have been wracking my brain trying to find a simple solution for translating this game into an online format that I can use with students virtually.

If you have followed me in other places like Twitter, IG, FB, or even my microcasts, you will likely have heard me talk about my discovery of #nocode app building at the beginning of 2020. Talk about great timing! After many restless nights, I finally figured out a way to turn this classroom favorite into a stand alone

the GREAT NEWS for you is that I am adding everything I create to my TPT store! Even better, you can sign up to become a BETA tester when new apps become available. The upside is that makes them really easy to implement right away. The downside is that you do not have the ability to customize it in any way. I am already in development of a companion teacher app to allow for some customizability. The sooner you opt-in for the BETA group, the greater your chances of getting the companion app for free!

Every Day Engineering - The World's Quietest Pencil Sharpener

A couple of months ago, I came across a blog post from another teacher that was just raving about "The World's Quietest Pencil Sharpener".  I gotta say, this caught my attention.  If there is one thing that gets on my nerves, it is someone sharpening a pencil during my class.  It didn't take me long to decide that I wanted to try one of these out for myself.  I was pretty excited to have the chance to try it for free in exchange for a review of the sharpener on my blog.  

Before I could even give it a whirl, I received an email asking me to hold off on my review because they were OUT OF STOCK!  Wow, I figured these must be awesome!  Then mine arrived and I got a chance to test it for myself.  I've been dying to tell you about it ever since and today I finally got the go ahead that they are back in stock and I could share my review.

Monday Mathematics - Learning with a Lemonade Stand

One of my all time favorite online simulations is the lemonade stand game.  Just about everyone starts thinking about lemonade in the spring.  This game lends itself to some easy integration of mathematics and technology. With a little planning, you can create an excel spreadsheet that students can use to track their progress through the game. Spring Ahead

This weekend, we'll observe Daylight Savings Time by moving our clocks ahead.  For me this is usually the true signal of spring.  We've had unseasonably warm weather over the last month here in NC.  In some ways it feels like spring came earlier than usual.

Tonight I welcome spring with a cool app that surfaced in my email.  It is called iNaturalist.
I was hooked right away. Let me explain why.
