Plan a Prezi

I've been introduced to the world of the Prezi.  How about you?  About 15 years ago, I was all about the PowerPoint and my students were enthralled with them.  Sadly, they have become kin to a lecture style of teaching.  The Prezi on the otherhand seems to be the next big thing.  They definitely have a more professional video feel to the presentation.  Rather than using slides, you create a presentation path. It will take a little bit of practice but I think this Web 2.0 tool has a lot of potential.  Best of all, educators have access for free.  The only way to really start planning your Prezi is to sign up and start playing around with it.  If you're looking for a way to spice things up as you head back to class, this might just be the answer.

Let me get you started in the right direction with some youtube videos.

  1. This is on my list of "sites to figure out before I go back to school". It's a good thing I don't go back until September because my list just keeps growing ...

  4. My kids introduced it to me. This is one of the tools they can use to create projects at their school. My 15 year old son prefers Prezi over doing a report or powerpoint. Another good tool for students and teachers is Glogster!

  5. How do you have enough accounts for your students to use? I've looked at using this but have 300 4th and 5th grade students. I couldn't find a way to get that many students accounts. Have you found a way around this?
    Thanks!!

  6. Just noticed your question cmax. Sorry for such a long delay. I don't have that many students so I honestly don't have an answer for you. I'll post your question on my FB page and see if anyone has an idea.
